1956                      Shelton Yacht Club    2014

Before leaving for oyster picking, we repositioned (??) the new commercial refrigerator in the Clubhouse Galley...

It was a gloomy day but only a few sprinkles landed on the hard working SYC crew....

Rear Commodore Rick sets up coffee and pastries...                                        Kim muscles a load to the waiting trucks...

Jim dumps in a basket...                            Steve prepares to dump a basket...                             Steve takes another...

Slowly but surely....                                                 Kory had a great day!  He even found some eels!

Kory and Bonnie carry oysters...                                            Who said being Commodore was easy?

Rear Commodore Rick....                            Debbie going for more...                    Christy picks only the best oysters...

Load after load the trucks are filled....

Per brings up a bucket full...                                                     And Susan brings up a bucket too...

See George?  We told you the SYC was going to be fun!                                     Rob carriers a couple of buckets...

Rear Commodore Rick is still smiling...                                          A big basket is carried up...

It took only a couple of hours with our large, hard working crew...

About 25 volunteers made up our 2011 Oyster Picking Team

On the way home we stopped for a late lunch...  22 people all at once sure surprised the only waitress!

Jim shows off his dirty laundry...                                                 A good time was had by all....
