May, Hand Powered Boat Race - photos courtesy of Jim, Debbie and others

On Saturday May 8th SYC hosted the Salmon Bay Paddle organization for the first "Hammer the Inlet" race down Hammersly's Inlet. There were kayaks, paddle boards and various other paddle craft that participated. Including two of our SYC members George and Jim in a two person peddle and paddle kayak. SYC provided safety boats along the inlet for assistance if needed by the participants. A huge thank you to Dick and Linda, Don, Frank, James, and George and Debbie. Our boutique organizer Debbie sold a bunch of "I survived Hammersly's Inlet" tee shirts and Kerns food truck was also on site for anyone who wanted lunch. - May Lifeline, Commodore's Report
